You’ll typically see this lamp spec’d into equipment that needs concentrated infrared heat: plastics heating, sealing bars, and heating zones where fast response and high watt density matter. The 400V 2500W combo gives you more heat per amp, which can mean smaller wire and less stress on contactors. It’s reliable, serviceable, and fits standard fixtures. But you trade for that power: 2500W packed into a 315mm tube makes the surrounding area seriously hot. Plan for clearance, get the reflector geometry right, and make sure airflow is doing its job.
