Introduction

We built this 39.25-inch, 240V, 2000W halogen heat lamp for one reason: to give industrial setups serious heat—in a tight space. If you’re an engineer, you know the feeling. You need something that just works, behaves predictably, and doesn’t force you to redesign the whole machine just to make it fit. This lamp was made for that.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Plain and Simple
At 2000W and 240V, this thing delivers steady, predictable resistive heating. No guesswork. You know exactly what you’re pulling, so you can size your power supply and controls without stress. And the length? 39.25 inches (about 1000mm). That gives you enough spread to manage temperature across a specific zone, without being so long it becomes a headache to install. It hits that sweet spot: long enough for the job, short enough to squeeze into tight enclosures.
Inside the Design: Halogen, Quartz, and a Smart Base
Here’s the thing about the halogen capsule inside: it runs hotter than standard infrared heaters. That’s actually good news, because it keeps the quartz envelope cleaner and helps the output stay stable over time. The quartz tube can handle fast heating and cooling cycles, but it still needs proper mounting and spacing—no surprises there, just good practice to avoid hot spots. And we chose an R7s base for a simple reason: it gives you a clean, two-terminal connection that’s already standard across industrial heating fixtures. So if you already have an R7s socket, this lamp drops right in. No drama.
Where It Shines: Speed, Control, and Easy Installation
This lamp is for moments when you need heat fast—plastic forming, adhesive curing, and other line processes where time is money. The high watt density means you get a quick temperature rise, which can help shorten cycle times. But let’s be real: it runs hot. So your housing, wiring, and insulation need to be rated for that heat, and thermal shielding is a smart move to protect nearby parts. When you spec it into a properly ventilated fixture, you get the payoff: fewer headaches during replacement, and heating performance you can count on, again and again.
