Introduction
We built this 380V, 2000W quartz halogen infrared lamp for one reason: to thrive inside flash drying machines, day after day. It was designed to blast focused heat exactly where it’s needed—right onto the product surface—without wasting energy heating the air around it. The payoff? Heat that transfers fast, keeping pace with the relentless rhythm of a continuous drying line.
Power, Voltage, and Size: Why It Matters
That 2000W rating isn’t random. We sized it to deliver the sheer heat intensity needed for rapid evaporation in flash drying, while staying within practical electrical limits. And the 380V supply? That’s a deliberate choice for industrial plants. It keeps the current lower than a 230V setup, which means less voltage drop over long cable runs and wiring that doesn’t need to be oversized. On a crowded production line—where motors, PLCs, and other heaters are already drawing power—that’s a relief. The 610mm tube length is another practical call. It gives you enough radiating surface to cover a wide drying area or multiple product lanes, yet it still fits neatly into tight oven spaces. Packing 2000W into that length creates serious heat density, giving you big output in a compact package. But here’s the catch: that kind of density means you need tight temperature control and solid airflow around the lamp. Keeping nearby components from overheating is non-negotiable.
What It’s Made Of—and Why
Quartz was the obvious choice for the tube. It handles extreme heat and stays transparent to infrared, so the filament’s energy gets through efficiently and heats the target directly. Then there’s the halogen cycle. It keeps the filament stable by recycling evaporated material back onto it. That means the output stays consistent over the lamp’s life, avoiding the gradual fade you often see with non-halogen infrared sources. And when it comes to connections, we built for real-world reliability. The R7s base is a common, tough connector for linear lamps—solid contact, easy alignment, and simple replacement. If your machine uses an SK15 connection instead, we spec the lamp to match, so it drops right in without rewiring or adapters. The end seals are built to survive constant heating and cooling cycles, because flash drying systems are always ramping up and down.
Why This Lamp Shines in Flash Drying
Flash drying is all about hitting the product with heat instantly, evaporating moisture, and moving on. Infrared radiation does exactly that, targeting the surface directly instead of wasting energy on the air. With the 380V, 2000W setup, you get repeatable heat that you can fine-tune by adjusting voltage or how long the product is exposed. And the 610mm length covers the necessary width without stacking multiple short lamps. On the shop floor, that translates to fewer hot spots, more consistent drying, and less hassle during maintenance. You wire it once, align it in the reflector, and run. The lamp can take the heat, but the machine still needs proper cooling and thermal management—high power density is powerful, and it needs to be treated with respect.
The Bottom Line on the Job
In flash drying, speed and control are everything. This lamp focuses on surface heating—where the moisture actually is—so the energy goes straight into evaporation, not into warming the oven walls. The 380V supply simplifies plant wiring and cuts voltage drop, which keeps power stable over long runs. The 2000W output spread across 610mm gives you the heat density needed for rapid drying. Thanks to the halogen cycle, output stays steady over time, so your process settings stay repeatable. With an R7s base, installation is straightforward, and we can configure SK15 terminations when the machine calls for it. Just keep this in mind: the lamp runs hot. That concentrated heat delivers fast drying, but the surrounding equipment has to be built to manage the thermal load—proper cooling and clearances are a must.
