Power, voltage, and size—kept simple

At 1000W on 230V, you get a lot of watt density in a tidy package. That length-to-power ratio was chosen on purpose: it focuses the heat where you need it without pushing the quartz envelope too hard. Running on 230V makes wiring a bit easier in many plant setups, but keep in mind it pulls about 4.3A. So size your feeder cable and termination properly, and make sure your control gear can handle the inrush current when the lamp starts cold.

What it’s made of—and why it matters

The shortwave output comes from a tungsten-halogen filament sealed inside a high-purity quartz tube. The halogen cycle helps keep the filament stable, so the output stays consistent over the lamp’s life. The quartz body can handle rapid temperature swings, but it still needs solid mounting support—no stress cracks. For the end fit, we went with a bi-pin design that matches an R7s base. That gives you solid contact alignment and makes wiring quick, so you can drop it right in and get back to work.
