We built this 1300W halogen heating lamp to be a direct-fit heat source for industrial gear. The 230V rating means it plugs straight into standard European power—no need to mess around with step-up transformers. And the 500mm tube gives you a focused heat zone, so you get the right amount of warmth exactly where you need it, without wasting energy. At 1300W on 230V, it pulls about 5.7A. That’s a manageable load for most control panels, but you still want to make sure your wiring and contactor are up to the task. The 500mm length strikes a sweet spot—long enough to reach, but still compact enough to slip into tight spots on packaging lines or plastic processing machines without forcing a redesign.
Halogen Quartz Design and R7s Connectors
Inside, the halogen element sits in a quartz envelope, cranking out intense shortwave infrared heat. That means you get rapid heat-up and immediate response when the machine calls for it. The quartz tube handles thermal shock like a champ and won’t burn out, even when you’re cycling it over and over. We fitted the lamp with an R7s base, so it drops straight into existing sockets—no adapters needed. The R7s connection is built for high current and holds firm, even on machines that are constantly vibrating.
Application and Real-World Constraints
This is your go-to when you need fast, localized heating—plastic welding, coating curing, adhesive activation, thermoforming. It puts the heat right where you want it. But here’s the thing: it runs hot. That’s the trade-off for all that concentrated power. So make sure the reflector and mounting hardware are rated for the temperature. Keep the target at the recommended distance, and check that nearby components can handle the heat, or you’ll shorten the lamp’s life.
