Material and Design: Halogen, Coating, and R7s Connectors
The halogen cycle does the quiet work of keeping the quartz envelope clean. It sends tungsten back to the filament, which keeps the light output steady and stops the glass from blackening over time. We use high-purity quartz because it can handle the intense internal heat and stay tough mechanically. Then there’s the reflector coating.
